SYLA HOTEL Hakone Gora EAST is a detached rental facility that can accommodate up to 16 guests.

Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Gora Station, with many day-use hot springs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
Although close to the station, it is surrounded by abundant nature, allowing you to experience the four seasons of Hakone with all five senses.
If you are coming by car, please use the complimentary private parking.

Outside of the event period, please enjoy the remains of the Daimonjiyaki from the facility.

Facility Neighborhood Information
The Gora area bustles as the terminus of the Hakone Tozan Railway and the starting station of the cable car.It also offers great access to various sightseeing spots such as Yumoto, Owakudani, Sengokuhara, and the Lake Ashi area, ensuring you won't waste any precious travel time.
After the opening of Gora Park and the Hakone Tozan Railway, it quickly became famous as an upscale summer resort area for figures in politics and business, as well as a luxury villa district.
It is an area that is fun to stroll around, dotted with long-established luxury Japanese inns and traditional buildings, with many souvenir shops and photogenic spots.
There are multiple restaurants, convenience stores, and day-use hot springs around the facility.
Gora Park and the Hakone Museum of Art are accessible on foot. The Hakone Open-Air Museum and Yunessun are also about a 5-minute drive away.
Speaking of Gora, it has to be onsen. Hot spring extraction began in earnest in 1949, and there are 46 hot spring sources, which are classified into three types of spring qualities.

The origin of the unusual place name "Gora" is said to come either from the theory that the shape of the mountain looked like a turtle's shell, or from the sound of large boulders rolling around ("gora").
